I recently switched to Fedora 21, because I was tired of Ubuntu and it's many deravitives. There seems to be a bit of a bug, where, whenever someone messages me via Empathy or any other messaging client, the pop-up notifications never show up.

It's really odd that this happens, and I have no idea as to why it happens.

Could anyone offer any advice as to why this happens, and how I could fix it so it doesn't happen again?

Thanks.

Do you have notifications enabled? Go to bottom bar, to the left, and see if notifications are enabled for Empathy.

Also, is the issue limited to empathy? Do you get notifications from other applications just fine?

All the notifications are enabled. It's just that when I got down to the bottom right, to click on someones picture to get a missed message, I click on it, and nothing happens. It just sits there highlighted.

I did happen to shut my computer down for the night once, and the following morning, it was back to normal, so, I'm not sure what causes this honestly...
