I want to update my F20 machine to F21 but need to be able to use VMware Player for work.

Are there any issues I should be aware of or will it just work(TM)?

It looks like there are some issues, take a look at this unanswered question:

The issues faced don't seem particularly big, and are likely to be environmental on that user's computer - perhaps you could create a VMWare VM on your current system and install Fedora 20 and the VMWare binaries, then upgrade it to Fedora 21 to see if you can make it go?

I could but I was wondering if someone else already did that as it's not out there as far as set ups go... ^_~

Yes, it is possible to work with Fedora 21 and VMWare Player. I replied in the link related in OP post with steps I did.
