I am trying to extract a pidora image on my fedora computer. When I try with the archive manager I get a message that says "an error occurred while loading the archive". When I try it from the Command Line using unzip i get the following: "Archive: End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive. unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of or, and cannot find, period.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

The errors you are seeing suggest that your zipfile is corrupt.

If I download , I get a file that is just over 550MB in size:

$ ls -l
-rw-rw-r--. 1 lars lars 576911968 Aug  1 16:32

WIth the following checksum:

$ openssl sha256
SHA256( 8a0757ae313505ebd347250566e304a1f125a4322433e5c672f04ddafc1d9cea

And unzip is able to extract that archive without a problem:

$ unzip
  inflating: Pidora-2014-R3.img
 extracting: Pidora-2014-R3.img.md5sum
