Hi guys !

I am a fedora user since FEDORA 13, but upgrading is always a nightmare to me.

Then, i decided skip F19 -> F20 upgrade.

Now i am trying to upgrade from F19 -> F21 via Fedup

fedup --network 21 --product=nonproduct

This command downloaded a lot of things and ended without errors. Only warnings like kmod-nvidia, etc.

When i rebooted, there was a entry in grub to do the update.

I don't understand well the process.

But after a while, it hangs without any disk activity. I waited for hours, and nothing.

The point is soon after building RPM transaction.

The build finishes, and after some few messages, it hangs on :

preparing RPM transaction, one moment...

My questions are :

What are it doing ? What is "preparing RPM transaction" ?

There is something that i can do to help ?

As all the packages are downloaded, there is some other way to complete the process outside fedup ?

I'm no expert but in my upgrade it seemed to hang for hours and I almost shut it down.... walked away and its leaped ahead again... not comforting but it sure took longer than i thought it would!

The Fedup may give a bit more feedback. I don't know if it is ok or not.
