I'm currently using eclipse-cdt in combination with doxygen for documentation generation. Which involves to restart eclipse every time I regenerate the documentation (to get it loaded into eclipse). And a feature I am missing in eclipse is to show documentation on code completion.

I also tried KDevelop, QT Creator, Code::Blocks and emacs (which I wasn't able to configure well), but none of them was able to show documentation on code completion.

I changed the title of your question because what you had posted originally doesn't actually describe what you are trying to do. For best results, your question title should match what you are trying to do. "A comfortable development environment" is subjective and ambiguous, and it's very hard to provide good answers for vague questions, so many people might not even read the question because of the vague title.

Hrm., well you'll just have to try out different IDEs and see which one of them has this feature - maybe anjuta? This question is probably going to turn into another "My favourite IDE" thread so we might have to close it eventually.

This Question is not directly related to doxygen or eclipse. I'd use any solution that provides to show documentation during code completion. Eclipse was only mentioned more detailed than the others as it was the solution closest to my needs.

That's not the point. Your personal "comfort" is not a technical problem. The post title is too subjective to be useful to your potential helpers.
