Since upgrading to 21 beta mounting nfs 3 shares takes about a minute. NFS 4 shares are mounted immediately. Server is Debian (stable).

groucho:~# cat /etc/exports |grep -v ^# /export,fsid=0,crossmnt,no_subtree_check) /srv/tftp,no_subtree_check) /srv/backups,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash) /srv/images,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash)

[root@nuc ~]# mount -v groucho:/srv/images /mnt/ mount.nfs: timeout set for Sat Nov 8 11:34:23 2014 mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'vers=4,addr=,clientaddr=' mount.nfs: mount(2): No such file or directory mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'addr=' mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6 mount.nfs: trying prog 100003 vers 3 prot TCP port 2049 mount.nfs: prog 100005, trying vers=3, prot=17 mount.nfs: trying prog 100005 vers 3 prot UDP port 42116

have similar problem with fedora 22: mount version 3 gets a time out, not specifying the version gives an immediate error. The server is an old (fedora 7) server with nfs version 3. It does still work with fedora 21
