As per Apache Hadoop, its said that hadoop is not greatly compatible with ipv6 based linux such as fedora - as every time you need to provide password for entering hadoop ecosystems. Even if ssh is configured, you need to provide password at every step.

Hadoop is compatible with ipv4.

Note: I need to use ipv6 with default user - /home/gaurav(I dont want to make such changes in /home/gaurav settings). But I want to use hadoop.

Therefore, below are the questions: 1. How to create a new user - hduser 2. How to disable ipv6 and only use ipv4 for hduser 3. How to configure ssh for hduser, so that any user can use hadoop ecosystem of hduser without providing password. (via ssh)

Please assist.

Yes I want to set it up on my Fedora20-GNOME. I am learning BigData-Hadoop. I do have the hadoop-archived file. Its a Virtual File System and it needs ssh. Therefore, I would be very helpful, if you could help me in setting up hadoop in Fedora20 with ssh configured. I tried it but everytime i start hadoop it asks password.

After doing google, I found that hadoop is not compatible with ipv6. Therefore, I need to create a a new user(ipv6 disabled) and keep hadoop in that and configure ssh so that i need not provide password every time.

PLease assist
