I use Fedora 19 and gnome 3.8.4

When I use Alt+Tab to switch program, different instances of same programs are grouped.

How to disable that grouping ?

You can customize GNOME with extensions. In order to disable grouping in GNOME use this "AlternateTab" by gcampax found at

Use the Mozilla Firefox or Icecat type of browsers to install the extensions. Allow the site to use the plugin when prompted.

(You cannot do it in Google chrome as the site uses NPAPI plugins and chrome doesn't support it.

He/She said that the desktop is Gnome 3.8.4. Your answer is nearly the same as mine :)

You don't have to install a Firefox extension. YOu have to install GNOME Extension. Since you have already installed it, just make sure it is set to ON. It should work. If it doesn't you may consider filing a bug (use GNOME Bugzilla to file a bug ).

Ok, the alternate tab was not enable. I install gnome-tweak-tool and then enable it. It works.
