Dear all,

I got an issue with Fedora 20 on my Dell latitude e6520. I have a Wifi connection to access internet, which works without any trouble. I want to use my ethernet port to plug a development board (beaglebone, but that is not the point) on a separate network (first, then I will setup a bridge). But when I plug the ethernet cable, the Wifi automatically disconnect, and I am not able to reconnect it, regardless of the eth configuration ! If I type ifconfig, the wifi interface is not listed any more. If I unplugged the ethernet cable, WiFi connection comes back.

It is very weird, and I am stuck with this, I would be very pleased if anybody could give me some lead to solve this.

I have removed "solved" from the title. There is no need to do this. Just marking the answer as correct is enough. Thanks!

Perhaps the bios is only alowing the system to have one Network card enabled at a time.

Sorry I dont know how to fix this issue just guessing as to what might be the problem.

Well done tuxman !

Back at home I have checked in BIOS ! A power saving option allows to shut down wlan when ethernet cable is plugged... Thank you ! I was checking all scripts in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts... at least I've learned some stuff...
