I am using a Macbook Air keyboard with a German layout. On my Mac I have installed a Virtual Machine running Fedora. I have now tried out all the keyboard layouts for settings and Fedora does not seem to map my MacBook correctly: I want to use for example curly braces which would be Alt + 8 on Mac OS. But applying it in the Terminal & Gedit in Fedora does only yield 8 and 9. Instead of curly braces open and close. Could somebody help me out here? Thanks.
