Fedora 20 Gives rpmd when using yum.

I just installed installed fedora 20 on my pc and then I updated it to gnome 3.12. But now whenever I try to install something it gives me the following error:

Your RPM database seems to be corrupt. Is your hardware in good condition?

As @lzap says, your database appears to be corrupt. You might try

rpm --rebuilddb

and see if it helps.
