I see the same error among others on a thinkpad t410 with gentoo for the device /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.3/ which seems to be a Upek Biometric Touchchip/Touchstrip Fingerprint Sensor: I suppose that in my case the kernel does not recognize correctly the devices :

   /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.3
   /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.6
   /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.4

which are besides of the Fingerprint Sensor the internal camera and the internal modem. It happens with a self compiled linux -3.17.0:

dmesg:
