Dear fellows

I am facing a problem with my laptop. I unable to adjust the brightness of my laptop manually or automatically. But it works fine when I use Windows 7. I press Fn+F4 to low and Fn+F5 for high. but same result in both cases. :(

I am using Fedora 19 and I have corei5 system.

thanx in advance

Try xbacklight package. Its command line tool and you can directly set brightness as

xbacklight -set 80

will set brightness to 80%

There was some fedora 19 bug also reported that for some machines, brightness control via function keys not working
