When I tether my iphone 4s with Fedora 20 over wifi, a connection is successfully established but doesn't load any websites in the browser (Firefox - fedora). What could be wrong? It works fine when I tether iphone 4s with my windows and android tablet. Does anyone else have this problem? If you need anymore information, let me just know!

I didn't get your question. You mean you turn your iPhone 4S into a portable WIFI device and you connect Fedora 20 to the iPhone 4S hotspot you are just created. Where does it not load websites? In your Fedora box's browser or the iPhone's browser. I use my Android device to access internet on my Fedora laptop and other devices. It works just fine.

@donniezazen: it works with android phone, but not with iphone 4S.

When you just connect to the network, check the output of dmesg to see if there are any errors there. Try other internet services to see if they work or not too.

Looks like you're hitting a bug. At least that's what [ 106.032549] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 74 at net/mac80211/rate.c:512 ieee80211_get_tx_rates+0x273/0x7f0 [mac80211]() tells me. Can you try disabling ipv6 and see if it's fixed - the trace has some reference to ipv6 so it's worth trying.

Worth filing to rhbz too.

@FranciscoD_: I have already disabled IPV6 in both network manager and also in the firefox config. I will check it with iphone5 and see what happens. I have filed a bug report as well 1159276
