Tags that you put into the tags box are tags because they are in the tags box. You don't need to add # in front of them to make them tags.

To remove an online account, you should open Settings (You can do it from Overview mode by selecting Activities, or from top bar in normal mode) then select Online Accounts. Here you can add/remove online accounts, so you can select your disabled account and click the - button to remove it.

This is more of an Empathy issue than a Fedora issue. You may want to ask about this on their IRC channel. Taken from the wiki entry at gnome.org :

IRC room is #empathy on Gimpnet ( irc.gimp.org ). irc://irc.gimp.org/empathy

Just remember to be patient if you don't get a response as soon as you'd like. If this channel is anything like some of the others I've had to use, there may be fifteen to twenty people listed as being on the channel, but none of them actually check to see if there's any activity more than once an hour or so.

Good luck, and please let us know what you find.
