Kernel: x86_64 Linux 3.13.10-200.fc20.x86_64

I'm trying to update my OS through the GUI software manager. When I click on "reset & install", my system will reboot as expected and go through the usual update screen. When it's completed, the system will reboot again and go to my desktop. However, when I opened the software manager again, the pending updates persisted - for example, firefox is still at version 28 instead of 29.

I tried updating again, but the same problem occurred. Previous system updates worked in the past, but this time, it didn't.

I found the problem. I tried "yum" to update my system but it reported an error that "grub-customizer" software couldnt be updated. I uninstalled it and used "yum update" again. The update works fine now
