I have installed fedora 20, kernel 3.13.10-200.fc20.x86_64, and installed AMD Catalyst newest driver 14-4 for Radeon HD6870, it's working fine, but if I update to new kernel, should I remove the running catalyst first, and then do a reinstall after the update? And if there has any modified drive like akmod?

Thanx first.

There is some sort of akmod package available (people are using the Fedora 19 version in RPM Fusion, it appears), but I recommend downloading and installing the driver manually. The driver needs to be patched to work with kernel version 3.14.* and the process is simpler if you're not trying to roll that patch into a kmod or akmod package.

Follow my instructions here. The entire process, including the patching operation and the location of the patch data, is documented.

With your discrete GPU, you probably wouldn't notice any performance improvement from the Catalyst 14.4 Release Candidate, but given the improvements I note for the AMD A10-6800k APU, it might be worth checking out.

Neither is the matter that simple nor is your tone in line with the guidelines.
