Hello there :)

Has anyone ever encountered anything like freezing while copying (say) 10gigs into an external hard drive or while watching something with vlc in Fedora 20 (kde while always being updated)?

It happens everytime I copy something and after a while fedora freezes.

Does anyone know how to sove this issue?

Also this is kinda weird to me but i did have the feature of "hibernation" in my old debian but when i moved to fedora I don't have it since then. It's like when I try "pm-hibernate" it halts but my monitor restarts several times and then kinda freezes and I can't do nothing but to press the restart button. any idea uppon this issues as well?

Another weird thing is that when my desktop(kde) loads sometimes the taskbar down there is white instead of being the normal kde air theme.

Everything else works quite well.

Update 1: This doesn't seem a copying issue anymore. I believe that freezing sometimes happen but it's not predictable! it did happen while i was copying a large amount of data though.

although I'm kinda sure these are also related:

Update 2:

This is the log when I try to "systemlctl hibernate" manually in konsole.

It's just wierd that "suspend" works but not "hibernate".

I don't have ATi but under the Arch forum the guy stated "radeon.dpm=0 in kernel parameters solved the problem. I suggest try it, and please provide more data as your videocard driver, and your current used kernel version (uname -a).
