I have installed fedora 19 and Windows 7 both in my pc in separate partition.

Internet always works in Window 7. But in case of fedora os some times it works some times it does not work, on the same setting.

Specially, when i migrate from window to fedora then it never works. It shows cable unplugged. But same cable same setting it works in window.

Same things happens in ubuntu also. Please help me. lspci command output:

02:04.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8110SC/8169SC Gigabit Ethernet (rev 10)

i am using Ethernet connection

So, the term "migrate" usually means that you have stopped using the previous software and now rely entirely on the new software - but I think what you're saying is that when you use use Windows, then reboot info Fedora, the connection doesn't work at first - is this correct?

Some Realtek cards can have their MAC address changed, this can be triggered when dual-booting windows and Linux; I've seen a similar problem with a Gigabyte 945GCMX motherboard.

Please edit your original post and add the output of these commands:

dmesg | grep eth
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-*

I have a similar problem: on my laptop I installed fedora 17 in dual boot with Windows 7, later upgraded to 18 without serious problems. Yesterday, I upgraded to 20, but there are two issues: Windows doesn't recognize any ethernet net card; moreover, every time I run Fedora it doesn't recognize any "wired" connection: I must restart the system in order to see the "wired" connection. What should I do ? Thanks in advance
