when i try to install gtk+-3.12.0 in fedora 20 i get the following error,

*configure: error: * XInput2 extension not found. Check 'config.log' for more details.


i have installed all the dependencies(glib,atk,pango,cairo etc.), still get error. give a solution please.

You need to install libXi-devel.

For a package that exists in the repos, you can see all the required packages to build it from source by looking at the BuildRequires in the rpm spec file in the fedoraproject git.

Also note that the whole GNOME 3.12 stack is available in this COPR; read more about COPR here. So you can get gtk 3.12 without having to build it from source.
