I am trying to get Cuda to work in fedora. I am following this guide here.

However, when trying to install nvidia-kmod I get the following:

Error: Package: 1:kmod-nvidia-3.13.5-202.fc20.x86_64-331.49-1.fc20.4.x86_64 (rpmfusion-nonfree-updates)
       Requires: kernel-uname-r = 3.13.5-202.fc20.x86_64
       Installed: kernel-3.12.10-300.fc20.x86_64 (@updates)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.12.10-300.fc20.x86_64
       Installed: kernel-3.13.3-201.fc20.x86_64 (@updates)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.13.3-201.fc20.x86_64
       Installed: kernel-3.13.5-200.fc20.x86_64 (@updates)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.13.5-200.fc20.x86_64
       Available: kernel-3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64 (fedora)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64
       Available: kernel-debug-3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64 (fedora)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64+debug
       Available: kernel-debug-3.13.5-200.fc20.x86_64 (updates)
           kernel-uname-r = 3.13.5-200.fc20.x86_64+debug
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

I have searched on internet for a solution but I cannot find anything useful. If I install akmod instead, I get problem later with incompatible drivers.

Thanks in advance!

/ Erik

updated 2014-03-07 08:12:30 -0500 : you need to install an updates-testing kernel first:

su -c "yum -y --enablerepo=updates-testing update kernel*"
su -c "reboot"
su -c "yum -y install kmod-nvidia"

Thank you for your help, but it did not work at all and now only one screen works.

What did not work - what is the error message? In case of problems with updates-testing kernel - boot the old one.

I have reinstalled it completely, only one screen worked and the resolution was terrible. I got a warning about errors with the kernel. I don't know where it came from but now I have a fresh installation.

Have you tried NVIDIA's proprietary 334.21 driver instead? Works well with CUDA 6.0 RC on my machine. Which GPU do you have installed?

Are you installing using .run blobs or rpms?

How about those steps to install and step up

Thos are very out of date (Fedora 17). It would be preferable to be able to use rpmfusion or nvidia packaged rpms.
