Hello. I am new to Fedora and have just installed Fedora 20 and have installed google chrome into it. I have a problem with youtube as sound doesn't play at all though the video plays. I checked the plugins and to disable one of the flash plugins as suggested on many sites but i find only one flash plugin for chrome (version 12) installed. Guys please help me out. Thanks in advance.

I had faced similar issue. In my fedora 20 box sound is working fine in gnome media player, vlc player as well as youtube video was working fine in firefox 34 but not in chrome 39. I had installed flash-plugin-11.2.202.425-release.x86_64.rpm. Youtube video in chrome web browser will play without sound.

Opening chrome://plugins in chrome browser shows the following plugin available: Adobe Flash Player - Version: 16.0.0.235 Location: /opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so

To fix the issue i installed the following rpm then it started working fine. yum install alsa-plugins-pulseaudio-1.0.27-2.fc20.i686.rpm

For 32 bit flash plugin corresponding 32 bit alsa-plugin-pulseaudio must be installed.

Try this out and let us know if its fixes your problem.
