Hi All,

Fedora 20 has started to freeze on me during boot up. It gets as far as the Fedora logo, then when that starts to 'fill' with white to show the progress it hangs about 75% through and becomes unresponsive.

If I do a hard shutdown I can log in and type as I am now when I choose the linux rescue kernel at start up.

Any suggestions as to what I could try to fix the problem?

Thank you.

Could you please press Escape during the start procedure (when the icon is still filling), and post the last line that's printed here?

Now this is peculiar, after not being able to get to boot once yesterday normally (and I tried over and over again) it has just gone through and worked today. I have not even installed an update!? Thank you for your response and if this problem occurs again I will add the requested line.
