How do you save Preferences for GEDIT after you have them set, to be standard for future GEDIT sessions?

Saving gedit 's preferences (now) can be done automatically. When the preferences changed, gedit will save them without user's intervention.

Gedit preferences can be reached from the Global Menu in gnome 3.8 and later.

They are saved automatically, and they are preserved across multiple sessions.
