Have you uploaded your public ssh key via FAS at your account ? Use the browser to upload the public ssh key.

Go here and login.

If you have something at the queue, do it. Complete it.

  1. While logged in, click on "My Account" on the side bar.
  2. Select "edit" link next to "Account Details."
  3. Click the BROWSE button at the "Public RSA SSH Key:" field.
  4. Navigate in your PC files, then find and select the (be aware of the .pub. We want the public key here, not the private)
  5. Click the Save button.

OK I am not yet sponsored in any other group. I have applied for membership in two weeks about two weeks ago but the status is still unapproved. So that is the reason. It seems I shall have to wait. :)

If one has to access space at then one has to be a member of some other group other than the CLA groups. This is a pre requisite as mentioned in the answer by NikTh. One needs to check this out first before doing the other steps.
