I've just installed Fedora with Cinnamon and don't know whether automatic updates are enabled or not. If not, I'd like to enable them.

But so far I haven't found any option where to do this. The only thing I did was to enable the Yum Extender to automatically check for updates when it is started (I guess)

But I like to have the system check for updates all the time in the background, like Windows or Linux Mint does. How can I achieve this?

Isn't there a difference between automatic updates and an application for comfortably finding new software?

@C. C. Cole What you mean about automatic updates ? You mean the notification icon or you want the updates to be installed automatically (without you even notice) ?

@ILMostro I'm not sure whether this question is a duplicate of the indicated at first comment. The one asks for a graphical application (like software center) but this one asks about automatic updates in Cinnamon DE.

@NikTh I think you're right; I assumed they were the same, since they were posted in rapid succession and certainly look the same at first glance.
