I have modifed .../symbols/ca for Euro Symbol, How do I get the Euro onto the ttyn terminal

With Fedora 20, Gnome tweak stopped working for the non Default keyboard (en). I modified the layout of ca to include the EuroSign and the Yen (€ ¥) but these two are not showing up for the ttyn vertual terminals. How do I get the ca definition to the ttyn definition?

It seems that Fedora is truly an unsupported software. Gnome installs their keyboard driver, but the X11 people don't get the information to make the corresponding change. In January, the Euro was not settable via Gnome tweak. I edited /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ca and added the Euro symbol and the Yen symbol (Euro to the E, level three, and Yen to the Y, level 3.

I could not understand what is required to do that for X or is it X11.

Doing a search by engines did not produce answers or leads to answers. We live in a world where important currency symbols are Euro, Yen, Dollar, and Rand,.
