Frequently I have noticed comments that are so extended, so long, that are annoying. We all know that comments mainly used for asking additional info, suggest something to a new user ....etc.

Extended comments tend to be annoying and confusing.

So I'm asking, can we add a limit on characters ? For example .. "You can add a comment until 250 characters". Or maybe less that 250.

There's already a 600 character limit. When you start typing a comment, look at the right hand bottom. It tells you how many more characters you can enter. I'm not sure if there's a setting for this but I think 600 is decent enough. What we need to do is encourage people to edit their original questions and add more information rather than do it in a follow up comment, IMO.

Of course I agree with your suggestion on encourage users to edit their questions instead of adding more comments, but 600 characters I think are... too many.
