The space for Fedora installation was formatted in NTFS or was remained as "unallocated space" ?

You should check your disk partitions and then install usually you can install it. If you didn't something different.

I tried with both unallocated and NTfs but it is not detecting hard disk

It is not detecting the Hard Disk or the partition you formatted ? Different things. If it is not detecting the whole HDD at all, see if Windows are shutting-down properly (no hibernation mode).
