I was following the guide Getting Started with Virtualization. /wiki/Getting_started_with_virtualization (could not post the complete link)

When i am trying to create a guest with virt-install using the command

su -c "/usr/bin/virt-install --prompt"

I get the following error. Here is the traceback:

I guess you may have similar problem to . Which Fedora is that? Have you installed libxml2 manually (without yum)? What does ldd /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/ | grep libxml2 say?

Yeah I would suggest you run a system update, maybe just re-install the xml libraries you have problem with.

Thanks you for your help.

I ran a system update and re-installed the xml libraries which solved the problem.
