No sound after installing Fedora 20

After a fresh installation of Fedora 20 the sound through the speakers does not work. When I plugin my headphone I do have sound. My previous installation of Fedora 18 had no problems. I have followed the directions on debugging sound problems, but I was unable to find a model parameter.

This is the advanced information from alsa-info.sh --no-upload.

!!Advanced information - PCI Vendor/Device/Subsystem ID's
!!-------------------------------------------------------

        Subsystem: 1462:aa88

Does anyone have another idea how to troubleshoot this issue? Please let me know what information you need.

Is the right output selected? I have a similar problem after unplugging my headphones the system does not switch to "Speakers - Internal Audio" but to "Analog Output - Internal Audio" and therefore I have no sound and have to manually switch to "Speakers".

What mithrial said, I am experiencing the same. Mithrial - any workarounds?

Unfortunately, I don't know a workaround. For the time being, I manually change the output device.

Found the solution in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1046153.

"I had the same problem and found that my (stereo) speakers were plugged in to the black connector (Rear surround left/right channel audio out). This configuration had worked for a number of Fedora releases but stopped working with FC20. Moving the speakers to the green connector (Line Out) fixed this for me."

Pretty lame, but it worked. :)

Thank you for your comment Mithrial.

But I have a laptop which does not feature line out :-) I need to manually select the output in Pulse Audio... any workarounds?
