Hello. I found I need to install Gstreamer plugins to play some proprietary audio and video files. Using yum search I found that a big set of those plugins (good and bad) was installed by anaconda itself, so I don't know why I'm still unable to play mp3s. Any idea?

Hi Black , well i don't know the fedora version that you use or if you have install rpmfusion repo ( all codecs ) , add this and later install the codecs with this :

add rpmfusion repo

su -c 'yum -y install'

su -c 'yum -y install'

and install codecs

su -c 'yum -y install gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-bad-nonfree gstreamer-plugins-ugly gstreamer-ffmpeg gstreamer1 gstreamer1-plugins-good gstreamer1-plugins-bad-freeworld gstreamer1-plugins-ugly gstreamer1-libav'

Good luck !

No I don't have rpmfusion, but I will add it to my repos soon. Anyway, I think I found out why the mp3s don't work in my machine: the Gstreamer plugins installed in my system are the free ones, not the nonfree ones. This must be the reason. Thanks.
