I'e already installed samba with same workgroup name in the network in windows; authentication is user mode

set the firewall trusted service -> samba, samba-client; ICMP filters -> echo resquest, response.

set SElinux policy allow samba_export_all_ro

But from Windows 7 I can't see any folder, only the hostname of my fedora machine.

What do I have missed?

with smbtree i can view my windows7 machine. (but I can't view my feodra hosting samba, is it ok?)

I have run into a similar problem that I believe is related to the firewall. have you tried running from the command line smbtree? It will ask for your password and then display all computers on the network and their shares. I had to stop the firewall for the smbtree command to work. I was then able to browse the network.

sudo systemctl stop firewalld.service

I am still trying to figure what is wrong on Fedora 20. The exact same configuration worked fine on Fedora 19.

Maybe related to bug 1038959.
