hi all:

I have a pc used fedora 19, and yesterday i updated the os to fedora 20 by fedup.

All things seem OK but the screen resolution is 1024x768 in Gnome Desktop and i can't change it. only one option in the Settings->Display. xrandr command also shows only 1024x768

When i use fedora 19, its 1600x900. my video card is AMD Radeon HD 6850 and cpu is i5-3470.

Anyone has any ideas? I will try all suggestions. Thank YOU

No, I have not used catalyst because it couldn't support for the latest kernel version and I always update. all are default.

And i'm not sure which video driver is being using now. how can i know this?

finally I solve this problem. I think its because of a problem of X.

I tried to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and I find out there isn't this file. So i use "Xorg :1 -configure" to make a and cp it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

I restart the pc, and the resolution goes OK! maybe there are something wrong in the X start process without the xorg.conf file. but in Fedora 19, works OK without it.
