The question of favorite editor is a personal and contested one, and it can vary greatly based on what you intend to edit. For typical document/paperwork type tasks, use LibreOffice.

Live CD

You can boot from live CD and it allows to play around the OS without having to install it into your pc. There is a "install into harddisc" option, to install the OS into the hard disc if you want. The live media no longer fits into a cd so it is also known as live DVD these days. The live DVD contains the minimum list of software's (the size of the disc is less than 1GB). If you need additional softwares, you can download and install from the fedora repositories!

A DVD ISO image is used to install directly into the hard disc. It doesn't allow to have a look at the OS without installing it. DVD ISO image comes with lots of additional software's that you may or may not use! Size of the image is around 4GB.

I would say, if you are new to fedora, download the live cd/dvd and have a look at the OS, play around it and if you like it then install it!

Fedora supports many editors. My favorite is VIM. Another good one is EMACS. They are available in fedora repositories, so you can install them if you want!

If you got errors while installing Fedora for live cd

Possible reason was your iso wasn't downloaded properly.

Download Fedora once again And then Check iso file hash with official iso hash

Then try to install it, you will not get Any errors.

Many thanks to Mr. Anishjp. I know DVD ISO included many softwares and suportted libraries. I get many errors when I install LiveDVD in virtualbox because of lossing libraries and / or dependences. As a beginner, using DVD will much better.
