I like to play Minetest (open minecraft alternativ), but I have idea how to make it possible allow connection if my computer works as a server.

Deactivate firewall works, but that couldn't be a good way.

It works, thanks. But is there an reason to use system-config-firewall instead of firewall config (I tested this an it work also)?

The procedure will be probably similar to minecraft. According to http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server#Firewalling.2C_NATs_and_external_IP_addresses you need to open incoming traffic on port 25565 for minecraft and according to http://wiki.minetest.com/wiki/Setting_up_a_server and 30000 port for minetest.

First systemctl stop firewalld.service on the server and start a connection from a client. On the server make sure the connection uses port 30000 with netstat -ntlp | grep 30000.

Then open the port on the server using firewall-config then "Zones->public->Ports->Add"

Note that minetest mentions both tcp and udp ports (netstat -nulp | grep 30000), so you may need to open also for udp

The citation on how to open a port is a bit dated - pre-firewalld - can you update your answer?

With the recent Fedora's firewall-config this will be probably "Zones->public->Ports->Add"
