I have just freshly installed Fedora 13 on a VMware Player, and am trying to install some items using the yum command. I am receiving the follow error:

Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again.

After reading other forums, I have tried a few things. Including removing the 's' from https in the .repo files, rebuilding the db, and commenting out mirrors and uncommenting baseurls in the files. Nothing.

I was unsure if using a virtual machine had anything to do with it, but for whatever reason, I am not able to find a solution.

Thank you.

Fedora 13 is obsolete and the repositories for it might no longer be available.

The currently maintained versions are Fedora 18 and 19.
