How to start a c++ project in netbeans?

I see only XML, HTML and Java projects as options as projects types.

To my knowledge there is no Netbeans package available to Fedora. I guess you did not download the proper IDE. See 'https://netbeans.org/downloads/' for the available packages.

I found another website that can perhaps be helpful => 'NetBeans 7.4 on Fedora 20/19, CentOS/RHEL 6.5/5.10'.

Since I'm pretty netbeans ide is not in any of the yum repositories, how and where did you install it from.

Show use the output of this command.

rpm -qa | grep -i netbeans

It is called netbeans-7.4-cpp-linux.sh. I think that I have downloaded it from http://netbeans.org
