I have ipw2200-firmware, wpa_supplicant, kde-plasma-nm and all of the standard packages installed on my laptop.

Wired internet works fine, but I cannot get a wireless connection. I have the correct password to connect to my router and everything that is required.

There is some error message about not getting dns.

The problem started about 2 months ago, while using Fedora 19. Overnight, after some update, wireless ceased to work and has not worked since. I had hoped that Fedora 20 would fix it, but the problem persists.

How to get a wireless connection in Fedora 20?

resolv.conf is auto-generated... just domain home, search home, nameserver

After 5 months of not having the use of the wireless on the laptop, this problem Finally appears to be solved, thank God!

The solution appears to be to update to kernel-3.13.5-200.fc20, then power off and start up. After logging in, you will need to enter your password to open the password safe and wireless will connect presto!

I'm trying to get all the questions related to the same problem in a single thread; because it seems that a lot of people have the same problem

I will follow that bz. I have had a bz opened on it for months, but there seems to be no interest to do anything, so I thought that not many people were using ipw-2200 any more. This is encouraging. Perhaps my laptop will have a rejuvenation ;-) Thanks for your help and interest.
