how to install java plugin for firefox in fedora 19 [closed]

I am trying to install java plugin for firefox in fedora 19. While trying for it, I uninstalled all java packages and then installed back. Please suggest.

Take a look at http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2010/install-sun-oracle-java-jdk-jre-7-on-fedora-centos-red-hat-rhel, it contains instructions about Firefox java plugin installation

Have you installed the 'icedtea-web' package? That's necessary.

This is the actual answer to the question. Suggesting 'fedorautils' just adds additional complexity.

Hi @Marc, Thanks for providing your kind response.

I tried to install jre. Here's the response of that command.

[root@localhost chhabra]# fedorautils --exec install_jre
Verifying root access
chhabra registered as logged in User
Logging is enabled
Verifying minimum system requirements
Fedora version 19 detected
Architecture verified (64-bit)
Internet connection verified
zenity verified
curl verified
Synchronizing files to /tmp/fedorautils
Checking update
Installing Oracle JRE
Oracle JRE already installed
Successfully completed!
Temporary directory cleaned

but still java plugin is not working in firefox.

Yes icedtea-web package is installed in the system. the output is given below.

[root@localhost chhabra]# yum list installed icedtea-web
Loaded plugins: langpacks, refresh-packagekit
Installed Packages
icedtea-web.x86_64                     1.4.1-0.fc19                     @updates
[root@localhost chhabra]#

Please let me know what else i can try.

Is it enabled in Firefox in "Add-ons > Plugins"?

I could not find any java related plugin in Add-ons

What is the result if you verify the java version at http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?

I removed all the java packages from system and installed appropriate jdk version for my system following instructions from http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/webnotes/install/index.html

but when i tried to open http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and verify the version... It hanged Firefox for some time.. Can you please suggest why it is working slow..
