GTK themes not working in Fedora

Running Fedora 20 alpha, Gnome 3.10.1. Installed themes work properly for Gnome, but not on GTK2 applications. I tried a fix (karma too low to post links, search "GTK Theme-ing issue in GNOME 3.10") to no avail. I've tried installing themes to '/usr/share/themes', '~/.local/share/themes' and '~/.themes' but the problem persists. Is a fix possible?
