Various keyboard shortcuts doesn't work in Xfce spin on XPS L502x

Fedora 19 Xfce Spin.

Any keyboard shortcut that involves Alt+Shift doesn't work. When setting shortcuts, Shift disappears after pressing any letter key.

Example: Alt - (press Shift) -> Alt + Shift - (press c) -> Alt + c

I searched for the problem and have known that there is such a bug with libxfceui 4.10 (which will be fixed in 4.10.1 but no sign of backporting).

However, the strange thing is that only my computer (a Dell XPS L502x) has this problem. On the Latitude E6540 with Fedora 19 Xfce spin installed, which also uses normal yum repos and Xfce 4.10, the Alt+Shift+* shortcuts work just fine.

As a summary:

  • On my XPS L502x, the pre-set shortcuts don't work (for example, Netbeans' Alt+Shift+F);
    Can't set a shortcut with Alt+Shift as modifier keys -- Shift will disappear after pressing letter key.
  • On the Latitude E6540, the pre-set shortcuts work well;
    Also can't set a shortcut with Alt+Shift as modifier keys -- Shift will disappear after pressing letter key.

So, although I know the bug with Xfce, I am still wondering if there is something that I missed.

If my problem is caused by the Xfce bug, why does the shortcut on the other model work?

Could there be some problem with my settings, or could it be related to hardware (the two computers have different keyboard layouts)?
