Do the steps on this site work for you?

Obviously, you will need to get the theme, wallpaper, and icons from another source, or extract them from the .debs (explained here)

I have downloaded all files from listed there and also unzipped them. But I am having problem in changing my default icons.

Have a look at http://lxlinux.com/ it mentions the application lxappearance which allows you to change appearance settings, including icon themes.

Thanks Jann5s, but lxappearance was throwing error "segmentation fault". so, i fixed the error using https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=953945#c27 this comment.
