I am looking for some benchmarking software for Fedora 19. I tried Phoronix (tar.gz version) but was not able to finish any test successfully.

The Phoronix tools are generally pretty portable. Could you explain what is meant by "not able to finish" in more detail, please?

There are a number of benchmarking tools available -- lmbench, tiobench, netperf, .... -- what performance parameter are you trying to measure? Disk? CPU? Network? System throughput?

Try hardinfo. It is very minimal though - I think it has only two or three tests.
