I have been using Fedora 17, 18 and now 19. In all the versions I faced this common problem. Whenever I start my system, the login screen doesn't show the username and password field. I've to guess everytime where my cursor is? :P It looks like there is another screen at the left side of my monitor, where cursor goes off, and that is where the login fields are hidden.

After its logged in, hitting a right click gives me access to terminal. There I run the command,

'xrandr -s 0'

Then it goes good! Everytime I have to go through this same procedure. I thought updating the kernel might help me, but it did not help. I'm using XFCE version of fedora.

Any help for this resolution problem is welcomed.

Thank you! :)

I once did some settings, which though I do not remember. But that fixed my Desktop resolution problem. I did not ran xrandr thereafter. But since I reinstalled the sytem with Fedora 19, It started again. Whereas, the problem for login screen was never solved. Tried hundreds of time.
