I'm trying to use Fedora 19 with a hybrid laptop that includes both a touchpad and a touch-sensitive screen (Its a Lenovo S10-3t). While everything seems to work fine with the touchpad, I find that when using the touch-screen, the gnome panel is unresponsive - touching the activities, username, accessibility or any other panel button with my finger simply highlights it without performing the desired function. Other applications, such as Firefox, seem to respond to touch just fine.

This is a Gnome Bug - Bug #697192 The fix will probably be released with Fedora 20 (Can anyone confirm?) One can also work around around this by patching the Gnome Shell JavaScript files as specified in the bug discussion (Seems it might be possible to also fix this with a Gnome Shell plugin).
