I have purchased Samsung Galaxy Star. I created wifi network but when I search on my mobile phone, it shows no device. I created new wifi with same setting I used in my fedora in Samsung mobile. But it shows "Not in range" and did not connect. Is there any problem with my fedora laptop or my mobile phone? Please help me sharing my laptop's internet with my Samsung Android phone.

I can give it a shot if you haven't figured it out yet.

What devices are able to connect to your hot spot?
What version of Fedora are you running?
What version of android are you running? What wireless card is your machine running? (could use lspci | grep -i wireless to find it out)
