I am a student at ITT Tech Norfolk Va. I am using Fedora RedHat 15, Title of book and lab book A Practical Guide to Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Sixth Edition. Using a virtural machine. On page 74 of lab chapter 13 lab 2 step 2 trying to install ypbind using rpm utility I keep getting "File Not Found by glob". I have the disk with the iso image and all necessary files available for the lab in the dvd drive. Unable to accomplish lab and fellow students are having same problem.

I think that the first thing you need to do is ask your instructor why you're expected to use an obsolete version of Fedora in this class. Currently, the only two versions that are supported are Fedora 17 and Fedora 18.

Is there a character in the filename that the shell is trying to expand? (e.g., a bracket) You're on a very old version of Fedora, but if that's what you're stuck with for the course then I'd see if the problem is the shell trying to interpret a character in the name of the file.
