Hi everyone,

I have problems with my gnome3. I am working with fedora 18 in a dell xps with nvidia card. Before it was working pretty well but for some stupid reason I remove bumblebee and after that now I can ONLY log in with the Classic Gnome. After that, this message appears:

Warning: Direct Rendering not detected. Audio only mode enabled.

First, I think I reinstall bumblebee following this instructions: Since running

 optirun glxgears -info

seems to work. I think I reinstalled it correctly. Then, I reinstall gnome-desktop (just in case) running:

sudo yum reinstall @gnome-desktop

and nothing else happen. Finally, this is what I got with

 algomez@adelle:~$ glxinfo
 name of display: :1.0
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig

any ideas???

thank you in advance!! :)

Well, it looks like removing bumblebee caused the direct rendering support to break. I'd have expected reinstalling bumblebee to fix it. Peek into /var/log/Xorg.0.log and check if there are any errors. Could be a missing module. Also check your yum history to see what pacakages were removed along with bumblebee when you removed it. See if undoing the transaction works?
