I use Fedora 18 with Gnome 3.6.2 , when I close the lid, it goes to suspend mode.

I checked the settings but I didn't find where to change it, can you help where to cahnge it?

Hi

You may try this. Edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf and change HandleLidswitch=ignore

with gnome-tweak-tool you can disable this behavior, yum install gnome-tweak-tool

In fedora 18, like mine, in gnome-tweak-tool, shell menu, laptop lid, when closed, will suspend >>> ON

You can turn it off here. If you're not satisfied or want to further customize it, refer archlinux wiki regarding ACPID
